Korean film fans are in for a real Christmas treat as Viu Philippines unveils the “The Moon” on December 24!

Set in the year 2029, the story is about a botched lunar exploration that results with crewmember Sun Woo being stranded in space. To bring the astronaut safely back to Earth, the space center seeks the help of former managing director Kim Jae Guk who was involved in a past—although disastrous—mission.

Do Kyung Soo, a member of the famous K-pop boy band EXO, plays the role of Sun Woo and this project is the singer-actor’s biggest film to date. D.O., as he is fondly called, won the Star of the Year Award at South Korea’s 2023 Buil Film Awards where “The Moon” was also nominated in the Best Art and Best Cinematography categories. The singer-actor was also nominated as Best Actor sa Grand Bell Awards at Blue Dragon Film Awards for the same movie. D.O. also stars in Viu’s comedy documentary series “GBRB: Reap What You Sow,” and the drama series “Bad Prosecutor”.

Reviewers have hailed “The Moon” by director Yong Hwa Kim as a true sci-fi masterpiece describing it as “thrilling”, “immersive”, “superb” and “mind-blowing”.

Watch “The Moon” — available in both Korean with English subtitles and Tagalog dubbed versions — on Viu Premium.

Download the Viu app now via the Apple Store or Play Store or visit www.viu.com to watch “The Moon” and other Asian dramas and films.
