It’s Mother’s Day again, and the City of Firsts is gearing up for an exciting celebration to honor all the amazing moms out there!

“Mommy, inay, mama, nanay — whatever you call your mom, this coming Sunday is their special day. It’s a time for all of us to look back at all the good that our mothers have done for us. And Araneta City is just the place to be to treat your mom and bond with her,” Marjorie Go, AVP for Marketing of Araneta City, said.

If you’re looking for a way to make this day extra special for your mom, head to Araneta City and enjoy a day filled with music, learning, deals, and more surprises.

For those who love to shop, Ali Mall has got you covered with a bazaar featuring female entrepreneurs from May 8 to 14. The Proudly Original Products of Quezon City (POP QC) Mother’s Day Market features unique and locally-made products and services, perfect for finding that special gift for your mom. You can browse through jewelry, accessories, clothing, home decor, and more. Not only will you find something special, but you’ll also be supporting local mompreneurs.

On May 14, head on to Gateway Mall for a lovely Serenade for Moms by talented artists such as JV Decena, Joaquin Garcia, and Richard Poon. Expect beautiful tunes from the past and the present, all dedicated to our one and only mom.

Along with the performances at Gateway Mall, there will be a photo booth and caricature station to capture fun memories with mom. Strike a pose with silly costumes and props or get a caricature drawing done, and take home a keepsake that you can treasure forever.

If you’re interested in learning something new or taking some time for self-care, Farmers Plaza has a range of workshops and pampering services via the activities by Filipino Homebased Moms (FHMoms) from May 12 to 14. Sign up for a beauty workshop to learn some new entrepreneurship tricks, attend an educational talk with an OB-GYN, or indulge in a relaxing massage or manicure. These sessions are designed to help mommies relax and unwind, while also learning something new.

Throughout the celebration, the mall will be decorated with beautiful pink Carnations—a flower that symbolizes gratitude—to express just how much we love and appreciate all our moms. You can take some time to snap some lovely pictures for the ‘gram or even shoot a short video for TikTok or Instagram reels.

The City of Firsts is making Mother’s Day more special with freebies via the Totes for Moms promo! Get a FREE customized eco bag for a minimum purchase of ₱1000. Not only can you shop with a special and unique bag, you can also treat Mother Nature kindly this Mother’s Day!

Finally, for a special intimate Mother’s Day feast, check out the recently opened restaurants and food stores at the new Gateway Mall 2. Bring your mom for lunch or dinner at Botejyu (ground floor), Manam (ground floor), or Pizza Hut (upper ground A). And for an after-meal treat, buy her some sweets at BLK 513 (upper ground A), Dairy Queen (upper ground A), or Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory (ground floor).

“We know how special our moms are. They are there to guide us, help us, and make our lives brighter. We are celebrating them here at the City of Firsts by curating events that will surely delight, pamper, and enlighten them. We hope to see you and your moms here this weekend, we have so much in store for the most special woman in our lives,” Go concluded.
