The album’s conception, as described by VVS Collective, was a moment of pure inspiration. The concept struck a chord with them as they reflected on the complexities of modern dating and relationships, along with the intricacies of love.

“The idea for the album came to us like a sudden burst of creativity, as we realized that the term green and red flags is a topic that resonates with people nowadays.”

As artists, VVS Collective accepted the challenge of reinventing themselves and their sound for this album. They believe this is where they shine, as they are known to push creative boundaries. The group explained the musical arrangement of the songs in the album is diverse as they incorporated various elements to evoke emotions that complement the lyrics.

Even with the arrangement of the songs in the album, VVS Collective chose to give listeners a romantic journey that mirrors a rollercoaster pattern.

“By arranging [the songs] in this way, we aim to capture the full spectrum of love’s emotions, from the initial spark to the enduring connection, and to create a musical journey to show the ups and downs of real-life relationships.”

One particular song that the group enjoyed creating and listening to was “Fake Love.” This song holds a special place in the hearts of VVS Collective as a mix of personal experiences and stories from friends and strangers inspired it.

What this album presents to fans is a modern take on love, dating, and relationships. It tells a story of what we already know, but from various perspectives that culminated into a unique musical experience.

“Teka Muna”: The Heart of the Album

In welcoming the new era in VVS Collective’s discography, a specific song is central to setting the scene on what fans can expect in this forthcoming stage.

The title track, “Teka Muna”, unravels the intricacies of hesitant love, exploring the uncertainty and doubt that can permeate such relationships. The song draws inspiration from the collective experiences of the group and other familiar individuals who have navigated the troubling waters of hesitant love.

Sonically, “Teka Muna” features raw vocals, paired with subtle instrumentals that create an immersive space for the song’s message.

“We want [listeners] to have a sense of understanding, empathy, and introspection related to the theme of hesitant love.”
