The ongoing Kaiju No. 8 manga series, published in 12 volumes, has a cumulative circulation in Japan exceeding 13 million copies (including digital versions). It has also been tremendously popular overseas, becoming a phenomenon both in Japan and abroad. An anime adaptation of this world-famous series began airing on April 13. Additional Design

This new design celebrates the anime broadcast starting from April 13th. The special artwork features a composite image of Kafka Hibino and Kaiju No. 8. The figures below the illustration show the kaiju’s “fortitude level,” which represents its power, and its identification number. This graphic is limited edition art created by Production I.G.

The English logo of Kaiju No. 8 is embroidered on the front pocket. Printed on the back is the abbreviation “JAKDF” (for Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force), along with the members of the Third Division, of which Kafka is a member.

Kafka Hibino and Leno Ichikawa are depicted chatting and laughing as crew members of the kaiju disposal company Monster Sweeper Inc. The graphic is limited edition art by Production I.G.

UT exclusive art depicting the fighting style of Soshiro Hoshina, vice-captain of the Third Division of the Defense Force, who fights using two swords. The front is embellished with the marks on the swords used exclusively by Hoshina.

The front design blends the number “8” used in the Kaiju No. 8 logo with the anime teaser visual. The back has a small print of the Japanese Kaiju No. 8 logo.

This design features Kafka Hibino as a child when he decided to protect Japan from kaiju, along with his childhood friend Mina Ashiro, and the Defense Force logo. This limited-edition art was created by Production I.G exclusively for UT.
