The exhibit “Hiraya: Ang Hugis ng Imahinasyon ni Marlon Luceñara,” showcasing Filipino artistry, is currently ongoing until November 20, 2024. Featuring contemporary artist Marlon Luceñara from Sagay City, Negros Occidental, and the exhibition invites the public to engage with his unique creations.

Marlon reflects on his artistic journey, marked by initial financial struggles. Starting with just 200 pesos, he transformed scrap materials from a junk shop into art, illustrating the value of imagination. Marlon emphasized the importance of dreams and determination, stating, “Nothing is impossible with the Lord, supported by prayer, hard work, and perseverance.” He recounted how, through his dedication to creating various art sculptures and experimenting with painting, he was able to achieve his dreams and provide a better life for his family.

Today, Mr. Lucenara enjoys significant recognition in the art community, having received several prestigious awards such as:

  • Kinetic Sculpture of the Year
  • Art Award 2023
  • Sining Award 2023

The recent opening day of the exhibit was a celebration attended by friends from the media and loyal clients. The Belmont Hotel Manila’s Director of Operations, Mayann Malapote, and Cluster General Manager, Socrates Alvaro welcomed the guests. The event also served delightful Filipino cuisines with a twist prepared by the talented culinary team.

“Hiraya” is part of Belmont Hotel Manila’s lobby art exhibit series, aimed at preserving Filipino culture while promoting the works of local artists. This marks the fourth occasion the hotel has provided a platform for artists to display their creations, and they look forward to continued collaborations in the future.

Experience the captivating artistry of Marlon Luceñara at Belmont Hotel Manila, on display until November 20, 2024. Don’t miss your chance to explore and purchase these unique works, all available for sale!
