Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI), a publicly listed company and the leading real estate developer in the Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin), has achieved the distinguished Great Place to Work® (GPTW) certification in the Philippines. This milestone underscores CLI’s commitment to being both a leader in the real estate industry and an employer of choice in the region, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in employee satisfaction and engagement.

For over 21 years, CLI has championed its people— referred to as the “Team of Masters”—as the heart of the organization’s growth and success. Composed of dedicated real estate professionals in VisMin, CLI employees embody the company’s 3CLI-A core values: Customer Centricity, Collaboration, Commitment, Leadership, Integrity, and Agility. These values drive CLI’s strong employee engagement, hands-on leadership, and collaborative environment—creating a thriving workplace for every “Master in Action.”

“This certification is a dream realized for CLI as we strive to be a best-in-class employer for our team,” said Joanna Marie Soberano – Bergundthal, CLI’s Senior Vice-President for Human Resources & Marketing. “Our people are our strength, and earning this recognition validates the positive, enabling, and dynamic workplace we’ve built together. It also gives us valuable insights to improve further as an employer.”

Through Great Place to Work, CLI was able to conduct a company-wide employee survey as part of its effort to assess and enhance its employer performance. With a 65% response rate, nearly 600 employees provided feedback on various aspects of their work environment. The survey revealed that a high 93% of its employees declaring that CLI is a great workplace—significantly higher than the Philippine average of 65%. And rating 95% in employee pride, with respondents declaring, “I am proud to tell others I work here.” Other standout ratings include 96% of respondents confirming “Management is competent at running the business,” while 95% expressed “People celebrate special events around here,” “When I look at what we accomplish, I feel a sense of pride,” and “When you join the company, you are made to feel welcome.”

With more than 1,000 employees across CLI and its subsidiaries—CLIPM (property management), CLI Hotels and Resorts, and CLI Foundation—CLI continues to grow and thrive in VisMin. Its workforce spans a diverse array of departments, including Business Development, Engineering, Technical Planning, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Digitalization, Legal, Sustainability, Customer Relations, and more.

“This recognition is just the beginning. It motivates us to continue fostering a culture where every employee feels valued, supported, and inspired to pursue excellence,” Soberano-Bergundthal added.

By prioritizing its people alongside its industry-leading real estate projects, CLI remains committed to achieving its dual goal: sustaining its position as the top real estate developer in VisMin and dedicated to being a best-in-class employer in the Philippines.
