CIMB Bank Philippines, the most awarded digital-only commercial bank in the country and a staunch stalwart of living one’s purpose, has launched a singing contest for talented Filipinos whose dream is to perform on the global stage.
Dubbed CIMB Rising Start, the competition opens its doors to amateur, unsigned Filipino singers to showcase their talent and potentially take it to the next level by giving 2 finalists from the Philippines a cash prize plus the chance to represent the country in the final round to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Both finalists will also appear in the CIMB Kejar Mimpi Song music video with other representatives from the ASEAN region. The winners of the competition will receive IDR 35 million (over PHP 120,000) for the grand prize, IDR 25 million (over PHP 90,000) for the second prize, and IDR 10 million (over PHP 36,000) for the third prize, and and sing onstage alongside Asia’s biggest stars in the Kejar Mimpi concert in August.
CIMB Rising Start is the local rollout of the regional competition spearheaded by CIMB Niaga in Indonesia called ‘Kejar Mimpi Rising Start.’ After the singing contest’s successful run in Indonesia in 2023, the competition has also been opened this year to other CIMB markets. Kejar mimpi is Bahasa for ‘chasing dreams.’ Apart from Indonesia, the singing talent search is also being held in Malaysia, Thailand, and in the Philippines, and is fully supported by CIMB Group, the 5th largest bank in the ASEAN with presence also in Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Greater China, and the United Kingdom.

Check your eligibility
You must be a Filipino citizen aged 18 to 40 years old with no previous or existing recording contract or offer. You must also have a valid Philippine passport and are allowed to travel outside the Philippines.
Sign up and audition online
To get started, you first need to fill out the online registration form at cimbbank.com.ph/risingstartph. You would then need to record a 3-minute audition video of yourself singing and use the hashtag #PHRisingStartSinger. Post your video on Facebook, Instagram, or Tiktok, and tag CIMB Bank PH on Facebook and Instagram. Make sure your post is set to public as well.
Successful candidates will receive a message with the schedule and location for in-person auditions.
