Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc.’s (CCBPI) People Team, led by its People Vice President Ann Margaret
Santiago, received CCBPI’s second consecutive citation as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia, as cited by HR Asia Awards – reaffirming the company’s commitment to excellence in workplace practices.

Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI) continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the region’s best employers. It has received four prestigious industry recognitions for its workplace practices: the Top Employer certification from the Top Employers Institute, its second consecutive year as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia as cited by HR Asia Awards, and recognition for Most People-Focused CEO and Excellence in Corporate Wellness as cited by HR Excellence Awards.

These achievements highlight CCBPI’s holistic approach to people management, as the company’s growth ambitions remain centered on the overall welfare of its employees.

“We are beyond grateful for the invaluable work of our almost 9,000 associates who, every single day, bring to life our commitment to refresh the Philippines and make a difference,” says Gareth McGeown, CEO and President of CCBPI. “As a company guided by our People-First culture, we are determined to continue fostering an empowering workplace that upholds high standards of employee welfare and development.”

Adds McGeown, “The success of our people is intrinsic and essential to the success of what CCBPI is as a company, as a market leader, and an exemplary workplace.”

The honors from the HR Excellence Awards were in recognition of CCBPI’s commitment to fostering employee well- being and its people-first workplace culture. CCBPI People Senior Manager for Employee Engagement & Communications Arman Gayanes and CCBPI Chief Information Officer Winnie Rebancos received the honors during the awarding ceremony.

A people-centric workplace as the winning formula

For its human resources policies and practices, CCBPI has been awarded the Top Employer certification by The Top Employers Institute of Amsterdam, a global authority on recognizing organizational excellence and people practices. CCBPI is one of the Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) markets—along with Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Belgium—that have been certified by the Top Employers Institute.

To secure this certification, CCBPI underwent a rigorous evaluation process that spanned a detailed human resources and organizational excellence best practices survey, validation, and audit. Some of the criteria covered talent attraction, holistic employee experiences, and overall people strategy. The company’s performance score was rated against an international standard resulting in a Top Employer status for the year 2024.

For the second year in a row, CCBPI has been recognized by the HR Asia Awards as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia. This award is particularly significant as it is based on the collective input of the company’s employees.

The HR Asia Awards evaluate companies through an extensive survey and audit that measures employee engagement, workplace culture, and overall satisfaction. Key factors contributing to CCBPI’s second consecutive annual win include top performances for leadership and organizational excellence, employee well-being and engagement, and sustainable workplace.

Championing holistic growth and wellbeing for all

Enabling all employees to thrive and be the best they can be, CCBPI’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) framework sits at the heart of its purpose, values, and growth strategy. Complemented by its wellbeing and talent development programs, CCBPI actively promotes equal opportunities and holistic growth for all.

Ann Margaret Santiago, People Vice President of CCBPI, says these recognitions reflect the company’s dedication to cultivating a culture of collaboration and inclusive empowerment. Santiago notes, “We place a premium on ensuring the overall wellbeing of our people while embracing their unique needs to accelerate their growth within and beyond the workplace.”

Central to CCBPI’s Total Wellbeing Program (TWP) are initiatives and practices that ensure holistic support for its associates and are consistently implemented across all sites—aiding them physically, mentally, emotionally. Awarded with Excellence in Corporate Wellness by HR Excellence Awards, the company continues to empower associates to take charge of their health through its Health Caravans and CokeLive180 initiatives. These programs help proactively address employees’ health issues through comprehensive health assessments, nutritional counseling, and engagement activities.

Santiago says, “Coca-Cola has been operating in the Philippines for 112 years and we have always been, and will continue to be, a people-centric organization. We are proud of all the recognition we’ve received for our commitment to this People-First culture, and for being a company where caring for our associates and their families is a top priority.”

Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc.’s citation as a Top Employer and one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia is a testament to its strategic focus on its people’s well-being, engagement, empowerment, and growth. These awards celebrate CCBPI’s work in creating a supportive and dynamic workplace, setting a benchmark for other organizations in the region to aspire to—as they honor its people at the heart of the company’s success.
