From pioneer hires to company trailblazers — the first batch of graduates from Camp COMCO Mentorship Program Cycle 1 in 2016, AC Recio and Harvey Llamosa, have been appointed as Associate Directors of COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, marking a pivotal moment for the group and its homegrown talents. The promotion was announced at the first-ever Purple Ball, which also commemorated COMCO Mundo’s big wins at the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) 2024 Global Gold Quill Awards including the highly coveted.
Harvey Llamosa, from Camp COMCO Cycle 1 under House Bearcat, has been appointed to the role of Chief of Staff to the Group Chief Executive Director and Associate Director for Executive Initiatives and Communications / Partner. He helped organize and grow the group’s work for the agency’s MARCOMAX (Marketing, Communications, Advocacy and Excellence) and GBX (Growth of Brand Partnerships), manage the executive office’s strategic accounts and projects, and lay the foundation for COMCO School of Communications. Mr. Llamosa stated, “COMCO has played a significant role in my professional development.” He sent out his gratitude to COMCO as his career soared high on the provision of the company. “The knowledge, experience, and lessons I have gained in almost 9 years are all attributed to COMCO. COMCO’s influence extends beyond my career, positively impacting my personal life as well. I am grateful to COMCO for shaping me into the individual I am today, and I will always hold this company in high regard,” he added.
AC Recio on the other hand came from Camp COMCO Cycle 1 under House Hawksbill, and was promoted to Associate Director for Digital, Content Studio & Multimedia Arts and Business Administrator Pro Tempore / Partner. Mr. Recio was instrumental in the establishment and growth of digital, social and content practice of the group. He supported the creation of the COMCO’s creative media and content arm, SEA Wave & Spice Multimedia Content Studio, and helped develop its services such as Digital Max, Content Studio and Multimedia Arts. Mr. Recio also leads group’s Corporate BRANDENARC (Brand Identity and Architecture) program.
Mr. Recio said, “COMCO is a fertile training ground that’s unafraid to be generous with passing down knowledge and knowhow to its mentees and newbies. I want to honor the role that has been appointed to me by giving my all in leading my team, and being as open as my own mentors when it comes to paying it forward to the next generation of communications practitioners.”
COMCO Mundo also proudly announced the promotion of its other homegrown talents and newly assimilated leaders, further strengthening its core team across various business units. Queenie Resmundo, COMCO Southeast Asia’s Senior Brand Communications Manager for New PR and Smart Social, has been elevated from auxiliary to official partner, while Patricia Raña has been promoted to Associate Corporate Services Manager and Special Assistant to the Comptroller. Eleanor Cenizal on the other hand has been promoted to Associate Director for Corporate Services.
Cheska Gutierrez and Louise Gamboa earned accelerated promotions — Ms. Gutierrez to Senior Corporate Services Officer while Ms. Gamboa to Communications Marketing Services Officer, respectively. Another notable promotion is that of Sharmaine Irish Padua, who received an advanced and accelerated promotion to the position of Executive Initiatives and Communications Officer, while Gabriel Hagen Gonzales takes on the role of Digital and Multimedia Arts Officer.
Nicole Bamba takes on the role of Senior Digital and Multimedia Arts Associate, while Ramil Balaong, the company’s long-time support for liaison and messengerial requirements, has been promoted to Logistics and Production Associate. Meanwhile, Shane Jhastin Picson has been regularized in his role as Digital and Content Studio Associate.

COMCO Mundo’s Purple Ball also celebrated the win of five prestigious Gold Quill Awards for groundbreaking projects such as the Century Tuna “Saving Our Seas” Initiative, the UNMASKED: The COMCO Mundo Write to Ignite Initiative Season 3, and the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program. This success culminated in COMCO Mundo being named Agency of the Year, making it the first communications agency from the Philippines and Southeast Asia to win this coveted award, and the only consultancy firm in Asia-Pacific to be included in this year’s Gold Quill Award’s Best of the Best and Special Award Winners.
