Multi-genre Taiwanese artist Everydaze is known for blending indie pop, indie rock, and R&B sound to create his signature style, featuring retro tones, simple lyrics, and catchy melodies. Now, with his latest single, “I Can’t Feel,” he delivers another equally captivating track.

“I Can’t Feel” touches on the struggle of prolonged limerence, a feeling that consumes and confuses, blurring the line between genuine affection and attachment to the situation. In the track, he captures the emotional state, singing, “I tried to think it’s fine / emptied out my mind / I’ve bought my own lies / for such a long time.”

Reflecting on the song’s inspiration, Everydaze shares. “When you have a crush on someone for too long, you can no longer tell if you genuinely like them or if you just enjoy the ongoing situation. In the bedroom, during commutes, amidst crowds, you become so immersed that you can’t extricate yourself, until eventually, you become numb, as if you can’t feel anything at all.”

This single also gives a glimpse into his upcoming album, ‘DAZE,’ set to release before the end of the year. The title draws inspiration from Richard Linklater’s film Dazed and Confused, which portrays high school students grappling with uncertainty about their future, The album reflects Everydaze’s realisation that life isn’t as simple as he once thought. Impermanence is everywhere, and unexpected moments often catch us off guard. For Everydaze, accepting life’s impermanence became a path toward inner peace.

‘DAZE’ serves as Everydaze’s self-introduction by encapsulating the core concept of each track. It explores the questions he asks himself at night, the life answers he stumbles upon, the long-distance complaints, and the endless self-conversations.

Everydaze has collaborated with renowned artists, including Vivian Hsu, Chih Siou, Pei-Yu Hung, Hui-Chu Wang, Yo Lee, Julia Wu, Edison Song, and Zooey Wonder. With Indonesia and Taiwan ranking as his top streaming countries worldwide, he intends to continue and expand his reach and grow his audience.
