From dissecting fan theories about your ult’s new music to running a new 5KM track, some things are better shared with your crowd. Whether you’re a Bloom or a Carat or an avid runner, birds of a feather truly are better together. Leading messaging app Rakuten Viber takes these passions and connections to the next level online with Communities, now enhanced with the Comments feature.

Every Community comes with admin controls, including options to enable member posting for a lively exchange of ideas. With the new Comments feature, they can now moderate and streamline multiple topics and conversations, keeping replies organized within every post. Superadmins and admins can easily enable this feature in their Community info tab, making it available by default for all messages or selectively disabling it for specific messages.

A longtime Rakuten Viber offering, Communities goes beyond the regular group chat experience as it allows effortless collaboration and inclusive interactions with unique features that make chat history and previously shared media easily accessible. Even when the conversation has moved on to other topics, the chat history can be accessed by everyone including new members simply by scrolling back up to catch up on all discussions. With full access to all media and files, this ensures nobody misses out on crucial updates or valuable content.

User privacy and safety remain at the core of Communities. Phone numbers of all admins and members are hidden, and they can also decide if they want to allow others to message them through a hidden-number chat. To further keep the Community safe, admins have additional controls and can delete harmful messages and ultimately remove and ban those who violate their Community rules.

According to Senior Director for APAC at Rakuten Viber David Tse, Communities has always been the super app’s ultimate tool for multi-member communication.

“Whether they’re part of a running club or active in fandoms, people now congregate both in person and online. The same is true for work and for school,” shares Tse. “Rakuten Viber understands that these groups should be able to offer a safe space for meeting like-minded people or for exchanging ideas. Enhancing our own Communities feature is part of our efforts to offer our users a safe and engaging way to connect, share, and find a sense of belonging. As Communities live right within your chat, it also allows for closer, more personal and instant access to your interests and passions.”

Find your tribe and make each connection count with Communities on Rakuten Viber.
