Kaila Estrada finally inked her first-ever contract with ABS-CBN, marking a milestone event in her career as a rising star, at the Forever Kapamilya contract signing event on Monday (February 19).

At her first contract signing, Kaila expressed her happiness and excitement in officially being a Kapamilya.

“I’m really so grateful and I feel so blessed and I’m very happy and proud to be a Kapamilya and I will always be a Kapamilya for as long as you will have me. Thank you so much for this,” she said.

“Like I said earlier this was really where I wanted my journey in show business to begin and I’m so glad that it will continue. I’m looking forward to more years to come for us as a family. I’m so grateful, I’m so blessed,” she added.

ABS-CBN executives who were present at the contract signing were chairman Mark Lopez, president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Star Magic head and Entertainment Production head Laurenti Dyogi, and CFO Rick Tan Jr. Also present were Kaila’s managers, Jonas Gaffud and Joy Lomibao.

Meanwhile, Kaila turned emotional after hearing her parents’ messages during her contract signing.

“I will always be proud of you. I wish you continuous success but as you hold your head up high, also keep your feet on the ground. May contract ka na sa ABS-CBN. Hindi ka na anak ni Janice, ako na ang magiging nanay ni Kaila,” Janice said.

“Nakakatuwa at nakakataba ng puso dahil lahat ng nakatrabaho ni Kaila na nakatrabaho ko rin, walang ibang sinasabi kung hindi ‘Kuya John, nakatrabaho ko ang anak mo, ang galing!’. Marami na akong naririnig na praises for you. You’re in good hands. Congratulations,” John shared.

During her one-on-one interview with MJ Felipe, Kaila named Jodi Sta. Maria, Angelica Panganiban, Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales, and Piolo Pascual as the artists she wants to work with for future projects. She also said that she is open to work in a loveteam, but maintained that she is happy working as a solo artist.
