As it is a matter of fact, a leap year doesn’t come around often. Seeing this as an opportunity to do something special, the folks at Gracenote have thought it best to celebrate their 16th anniversary, too. Aptly titled, Minsan Lang Naman, this show will be an unforgettable night full of surprises and memorable experiences, not only for their fans but also for the pop-rock band.
Eunice Jorge, Gracenote’s lead vocalist shares, “We’re celebrating our 16th anniversary sa 19 East. Saktong leap year, February 29. We’re very excited to celebrate with our fans, whom we call Team Gracenote and Gracians, and our friends.”
She adds, “Fun fact: leap year [nang] nabuo ang Gracenote, in 2008. Leap year din nung na-release yung first album namin noong 2012. In 2016 [another leap year], our second album [was released] at noon din naging official member si Tatsi. In 2020, [the] Small World album got released, leap year din! And ngayon, 2024, we’re celebrating [our] 16th year!”
“Excited kami na we get to play some of our songs from the past, and yung bago naming single with UMG,” Eunice announces. If you haven’t heard Gracenote perform their latest track, Babaeng Torpe, this night will be the perfect time to hear and watch it. Eunice reveals.
This night will be extra special as this will also be the first time that the official live performance video will be premiered at the event before its release on March 1, 6 PM. Under the direction of Nes Zeus Matias and with Nina Ledesma as art director, this will be a treat for their fans. (Nina Ledesma is also the artist behind a lot of Gracenote’s singles and album artwork through the years, with Babaeng Torpe’s lyric video as their latest collaboration.)
