The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Esports community just got a massive upgrade! MOONTON Games today announced the launch of a new set of support features – in collaboration with world-renowned tournament platforms, Battlefy, Challonge, and Toornament – to make third-party MLBB tournaments more accessible than ever. Housed on the newly-launched MLBB Third-Party Tournament website, the features comprise an “MLBB Tournament Tool” for organisers to easily set up small-scale tournaments, as well as a “Major Community Tournament License Application” for larger esports events to gain additional support and resources.
Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystem, at MOONTON Games, said: “Our third-party partners and esports event organisers are key pillars of our esports ecosystem as they represent the strength of our community. Our new support features reflect our two-pronged approach – to simplify the tournament hosting process and reduce barriers to entry, as well as empower them with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive.”
Developed in-house, the “MLBB Tournament Tool” offers tournament organizers one-click access to a tournament lobby. The organizer will then be able to invite players to the lobby simply by having them scan a unique QR code or input a unique tournament ID code. Previously, organizers would need to collect the user IDs of all participants and add them as friends before adding them manually to the game lobby.
For large-scale esports events, organizers can apply for enhanced support via the “Major Community Tournament License Application”. Upon processing, additional resources will be unlocked, including access to a server with all heroes and emblems unlocked, official certification to use the MLBB logo, and markerting support on official MLBB channels.
MOONTON Games has teamed up with some of the world’s top tournament management platforms in Battlefy, Challonge, and Toornament to offer organisers seamless integration with the “MLBB Tournament Tool”. Organisers can now easily host MLBB esports activities on Battlefy, Challonge, and Toornament without needing to manually manage matches and communications. An enhanced integration with Challonge will be available in the near future.
Ray added: “Our end-game is to empower third-party organisers to the point that they are able to operate self-sufficiently and independently. This launch is just the beginning; we will continue to invest into and collaborate with our community to shape the future of competitive gaming.”
