BBC Studios Natural History Unit debuts its global trailer for Asia today (10th October), the latest natural history series narrated by Sir David Attenborough which explores the wildlife and landscapes of our planet’s largest continent. The awe-inspiring two-minute series trailer features original music by K-pop icon SEVENTEEN and award-winning composers Jacob Shea and Laurentia Editha for Bleeding Fingers.
Spanning the continent, the trailer reveals some of the extraordinary creatures and wondrous landscapes uncovered in the series showcasing the diversity of wildlife from this incredible part of our planet. Audiences will see remarkable behaviour across this seven-part series, including urban deer on the commute with workers in Japan and an alien sea bunny slithering on the Indonesian ocean floor – Asia is a continent like no other.
With the biggest selling album world-wide in 2023, SEVENTEEN made history by becoming the first K-pop act to perform on Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid Stage earlier this year as they continue to take the world by storm.
This original upliing track, with vocals by SEVENTEEN’s DK and SEUNGKWAN, transports the viewer on an emotional journey through Asia with the orchestral swells from the renowned Bleeding Fingers accompanying the breath-taking imagery.
The first look extended trailer will be released on multiple channels including BBC Earth and BBC Studios Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts as well as on-air globally. It will also feature on the social media accounts of SEVENTEEN and Bleeding Fingers.

Asia, a 7×60’ for BBC One and iPlayer, is made by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, co produced with BBC America, ZDF and France Télévisions. It was commissioned by Jack Bootle, Head of Commissioning, Specialist Factual.
