Welcoming the next era of HR 4.0, or the integration of advanced tech through AI, machine learning, and robotics, means adopting new strategies for employee management.
As part of its effort to spearhead conversations on the development of human resource management and the role of digitization, Sprout Solutions hosted the 2024 HR Leadership Forum, bringing together industry leaders from various companies such as Globe Telecom, Mynt (GCash), Ayala Corporation, Nissan Group of Japan, PLDT and Smart Communications, etaily, and Maya Philippines, among many others.
“AI-related technologies and adding Gen Z employees to the workforce are the two defining factors for what’s next for HR and businesses. Sprout Solutions aims to shed light on these changes and potentially elevate HR practices,” shares Atty. Arlene De Castro, Chief People and Customer Officer of Sprout Solutions.
Bannering the theme, HR & People Strategies in the Year of Digital AI, the companies raised points on revolutionizing practices through reskilling and broadening the HR expertise by fostering collaborations across different business units, adopting human capital best practices, identifying organizational pain points, and balancing the use of AI and human interventions.
Following the opening segment, a keynote speech by Robert Conrad Gonzales, Chief People Officer – Mynt (Gcash), Globe Telecom, touched on the struggle of HR teams to achieve functional excellence. Gonzales emphasized the need for HR leaders to possess both business and technology acumen to succeed in their roles.
Supporting the discussion, Atty. Arlene De Castro outlined the evolution of HR practices to HR 4.0, which calls for proactive planning for the future by securing leadership buy-in when implementing digital transformation initiatives.
STREAMLINING EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT WITH THE ECOSYSTEM PERSPECTIVE
Francis Peña, Head of Product Marketing at Sprout Solutions, highlighted the importance of the ecosystem approach in finding holistic solutions to organizational challenges for the new age. He discusses how Sprout has segmented its end-to-end solutions into four primary pillars: core HR, talent development, employee wellness, and business excellence.
He shares that these holistic solutions can contribute to providing best-in-class solutions for every step of the employee lifecycle. As AI and technology continue to assist professionals in making informed business decisions, the forum highlights how optimal results can only be achieved when man and machine work hand-in-hand.
“We live in a highly digital and tech-driven world. As we move into the new age, we find ways to improve our existing tech stack to help our clients become top employers and nurture the best people,” shares Atty. De Castro. “Sprout aims to bring optimal HR technology solutions to empower employers and employees, thereby fostering a work environment prepared for HR 5.0.”
