Strategic Partnership Between Metro Pacific Health and Medicard Set to Improve Healthcare for Filipinos

A new partnership between Metro Pacific Health (MPH) and Medicard, an AIA company, is set to transform the healthcare landscape for Filipinos. This collaboration combines MPH’s extensive network of premier hospitals with Medicard’s expertise in managed care, creating a pathway to more accessible, affordable, and efficient healthcare across the Philippines. By partnering with Metro Pacific Health’s leading hospitals known for their state-of-the-art facilities and compassionate care, this partnership aims to enhance service quality while reducing healthcare access barriers for a broader segment of the Filipino population.

Key hospitals involved in this initiative include:

  • Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) in Muntinlupa, represented by Dr. Beaver Tamesis, President & CEO; Ramil Camañang, Senior Manager for Strategic Partnerships and Dr. Lawrence A. Marquez, External Partnership Manager for Strategic Partnerships
  • Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center (CHMC) in Quezon City, represented by Benedicto Cid Jr., President & CEO and Harold Golez, Head of Marketing and Business Development
  • Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (OLLH) in Sta. Mesa, Manila, represented by Paul Camaguian, President & CEO; and Rea Guevarra, Head of Marketing & Sales
  • Riverside Medical Center Inc. (RMCI) in Bacolod, represented by Gene Golingan, President & CEO; Julie Anne Kristine Co, Chief Financial Officer and Luisa Ernestina Henares, Marketing Head
  • Marikina Valley Medical Center (MVMC) in Marikina, represented by Joel Rodriguez, President & CEO; and Larissa Lim, Head of Marketing and Business Development

The signing ceremony also brought together key figures from MPH and Medicard. From MPH, the event was attended by Jessica Abaya, Chief Commercial Officer, and Rebecca Joy Espera, Head of Strategic Partnerships. Medicard was represented by Julian Mengual, President & CEO; Dr. Catherine Jimenez, Medical Director; Emerson Conducto, Head of Provider Management; Fritzie M. Castro, Provider Relations Manager; Flerida Riyos, Provider Operations and Rhea Negrete, Provider Relations Officer.

This initiative aims to make healthcare services more accessible while ensuring that patients receive quality care. By streamlining operations between MPH Hospitals and Medicard, patients can benefit from improved healthcare management, covering both outpatient and inpatient treatments. By enhancing operations between MPH hospitals and Medicard, the partnership strives to improve the healthcare experience for members, reduce barriers to care, and ensure better health outcomes for all.

Metro Pacific Health is the largest group of private hospitals in the country and is a part of the MVP group, with 27 hospitals to cure with expertise and care with compassion. Its hospitals include Makati Medical Center, Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Riverside Medical Center, Inc., and Davao Doctors Hospital, as well as 33 outpatient care centres, 2 allied health colleges, and a centralized laboratory, Medi Linx Laboratory.
