Some real talk with the cast of Madame Web. Watch the new featurette, “Grounded in Reality,” where the cast of Madame Web, led by Dakota Johnson as the titular character, talk about what makes their film different from other superhero movies.

“Madame Web is unlike any other Marvel movie,” says Johnson. The film, the first superhero movie with a female lead in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, tells the standalone origin story of Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future… and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies… if they can all survive a deadly present.

“It’s more of a suspenseful thriller, which is unique from anything you’ve seen in a superhero movie,” says Sydney Sweeney, who plays Julia Cornwall.

Adds Isabela Merced, who portrays Anya Corazón, “It’s got psychologically mind-bending scenarios that you’re just going to be stumped on.”

“It’s genuinely refreshing to see a superhero movie that’s really different,” shares Celeste O’Connor, who plays Mattie Franklin.

Get ready for a world of change when Madame Web, distributed in the Philippines by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International, opens only in cinemas February 14. Connect with the hashtag #MadameWeb
