UT ADVENTURE Original Game Developed by Capcom now Available, CAPCOM 40th UT Collection Slated for March 18

UNIQLO graphic T-shirt brand UT will release a special collection on Monday, March 18 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Capcom, which has produced many renowned titles in the history of arcade, console, and handheld games. UT Creative Director Kosuke Kawamura selected seven iconic masterworks from among the company’s numerous game franchises. This prized collection, exclusive to UT, uses graphics from Street Fighter II, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil RE:4, Final Fight, Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Monster Hunter, and Mega Man.

To commemorate the release of the CAPCOM 40th UT collection, Capcom has created an original game entitled UT ADVENTURE. Stage 1 of the game (the first of three stages) was released on a special webpage of the uniqlo.com online store on Friday, February 23. UT ADVENTURE is an “action shopping game” in which the main character must battle aliens to recapture stolen CAPCOM 40th UT items. Stage 1 uses a UNIQLO store as a motif and features appearances from Street Fighter characters. The game has a retro feel reminiscent of those released four decades ago when CAPCOM was founded, with content that can be enjoyed by a wide variety of players, both those who enjoyed playing games during this era, and those who are less familiar with 8-bit games.

Stage 2, scheduled for release in March, will be a collaboration with Mega Man. Stage 3, the conclusion of UT ADVENTURE, will be revealed exclusively through a mini arcade game machine, which will be limited to 40 units worldwide. A campaign to win one of these game machines will be announced soon, so stay tuned for more information.
