In anticipation of over 100,000 travelers this Holy Week, AirAsia Philippines has activated its #AlwaysREADY Ngayong Semana Santa 2025 to ensure a smooth and safe travel experience for all guests from April 13 to 20, 2025.
Transportation Security Administrator Undersecretary Arthur Bisnar, together with AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla and Spokesperson Steve Dailisan, led an inspection at the airline’s check-in counters to assess preparations for the anticipated surge in passengers. As part of the initiative, the team also distributed Santan Summer drinks to departing guests at NAIA Terminal 3.
In addition, AirAsia Philippines has introduced a new power bank policy to comply with AirAsia Aviation Group recently released guidelines, pending review and approval of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippine.
“It’s become a tradition for us, here at AirAsia, to provide additional support during peak travel times, especially when families, friends reunite and observe religious tradition. While we know the importance of staying connected during this time, we are also raising awareness amongst guests on the need for vigilance in proper handling and storage of power banks during their travels,” AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head, First Officer Steve Dailisan shares.
AirAsia reminds guests that only power banks not exceeding 100 watt-hours (Wh) are allowed onboard. Devices rated between 100Wh and 160Wh require airline approval at the check-in counter. AirAsia power bank safety rules can be accessed through official AirAsia social media pages, AirAsia Newsroom and AskBo on the AirAsia MOVE app.
