Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila officially welcomed the holiday season with a radiant Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held last November 21, 2025, at the Orchard Grand Ballroom. This year’s festive theme, Casa Capiz: Lighting the Way Home for the Holidays, was inspired by the property’s Casa Capiz campaign launched mid-2025 to make every stay a masterpiece of living. Inspired by the luminous glow of capiz shells, the night was a radiant celebration that reimagined the warmth of Filipino Christmas, togetherness, artistry, and heartfelt hospitality.

The momentous event also marked the Ascott BGC’s 11th anniversary, honoring the property’s milestones and achievements over the past year. During the program, The Ascott Limited Philippines’ Cluster General Manager and Ascott BGC General Manager Rennan John Reyes shared a glimpse of exciting developments and innovations to look forward to in 2026.

The celebration began with the Ascott BGC team welcoming VIP guests, local government officials, corporate partners, and media representatives with festive cocktails and a soothing live harp performance in the property’s elegant lobby. Hosted by singer and TV personality Yanah Laurel, the ceremony’s highlight was the inaugural lighting of the Christmas Tree adorned with exquisite ornaments handcrafted from capiz by Ascott BGC’s partner beneficiary, Bataan Shell Craft Trading. These ornaments, meticulously handmade by local artisans from the municipality of Samal, reflect nature’s beauty transformed into timeless pieces of art, refined home décor, and thoughtful keepsakes.

The evening spotlighted the purpose-driven craftsmanship of capiz making and the talented artisans behind each piece. The handcrafted decorations were showcased throughout the property and made available for purchase at a dedicated booth in the ballroom foyer, allowing guests to support Filipino craftsmanship in a meaningful way.

Following the ceremonial countdown, the tree lighting illuminated themes of homecoming, community, and shared hope for the season. Guests were then ushered into the Orchard Ballroom for a festive dinner, featuring live musical and cultural performances, complemented by a masterful culinary showcase by Ascott BGC’s culinary team led by Scott’s Restaurant Executive Chef Prince Patiño.

As a heartfelt gesture, guests received artisanal tokens: a capiz lamp that mirrored the soft glow of the festive season, and an artisanal Ilocano woven textile that celebrated the spirit of tradition, craftsmanship, and the warmth of home.

Now in its 11th year, Ascott BGC continues to champion hospitality rooted in culture, community, and meaningful celebration, lighting the way home for all who walk through its doors.
