CIMB Bank Philippines, named the Best Digital Bank in the Philippines by The Asian Banker, and DragonFi Securities Inc., the fastest-growing investment platform in the country, have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at making investing easier and more accessible for Filipinos.

This partnership marks a milestone in both companies’ shared vision to democratize investing in the country by integrating banking and digital investing solutions into a seamless user experience. This helps open stock market trading to CIMB customers by lowering the barriers to entry while also offering improved solutions for seasoned investors by reducing friction costs in investing.

Through this collaboration, DragonFi users will soon be able to open high interest-bearing savings accounts in the DragonFi mobile app. This embedded savings account powered by CIMB Bank PH will enable DragonFi users to seamlessly transfer their funds in real-time thus allowing DragonFi users to access these funds quicker and invest more efficiently.

In addition to this, CIMB customers will also be able to invest through DragonFi directly in the CIMB mobile app. CIMB customers will be able to experience the full capabilities of DragonFi’s sophisticated investment platform including access to their educational investment features like their Creator’s Circle and Investing Club which houses DragonFi Research Team’s real-money portfolios.

Lastly, CIMB Bank PH and DragonFi will soon offer a margin financing facility for DragonFi users which will increase their purchasing power and provide them with investment flexibility to act quickly on market opportunities and deliver favorable investment results.

Present at the signing ceremony were CIMB Bank PH Chief Executive Officer Vijay Manoharan, Chief Innovation, Digital, and Operations Officer Shereen Vallauthan, DragonFi Chief Executive Officer Jon Carlo Lim, and Chief Technology Officer Cathryn Lao.
