Japan’s #CrunchiestFriedChicken is now in Makati!

The story of Karayama’s famous Japanese-style fried chicken, known as karaage, begins in a tiny storefront in Tokyo. Taking pride in the creation of Japanese style fried chicken in its purest form, chicken is slowly marinated in a secret recipe, developed to enhance the flavor of the chicken and not mask it. Each boneless piece is then carefully breaded and fried until superbly crisp. This is no doubt a reason why Karayama is the No. 1 top selling and most popular Karaage restaurant in Japan.

In the Philippines, Karayama’s vision is to be known as the brand that offers Japan’s #CrunchiestFriedChicken. With its ingredients sourced all the way from Japan, Karayama offers authentic Japanese-style Fried Chicken from rice sets to their famous 15-pc Chicken Mountain — the embodiment of “Kara” from the word “kara-age”, & “Yama” meaning mountain. Aside from the rice sets with a one-time refill of rice and miso soup, Karayama also offers Japanese rice bowls (best seller: Cheesy Karatama Don); Chicken Paitan Ramen, & Curry Rice sets. Japanese Mochi and Ice Cream for desserts, and drinks like Cherry Blossom Fresh Fizz are also available!

On Feb 15, during One Ayala branch’s official grand opening, various media and influencers were also present to celebrate this milestone. The program began with the opening remarks from Karayama Philippines’ president Ms. Kimberly Cruz, followed by the welcome remarks from Karayama Japan representative Mr. Ken Korosu. Breaking away from the usual ribbon cutting, a Sake Opening Ceremony was done together with the Fullfeeling Inc.’s CEO, Dr Jaime, and Ms. Ricci Cruz alongside Karayama Japan and One Ayala mall partners. The event concluded with the very unique, bigger and taller version of Chicken Mountain Unveiling 100 pieces of kara-age stacked together, symbolizing the opening of the new store.

As Karayama Philippines celebrates its 5th year anniversary since they first opened in SM North EDSA, their newest and second branch in Makati is ready to serve the “Legendary Karaage” a.k.a Japan’s #CrunchiestFriedChicken to more people especially in the southern metro; located at One Ayala, near EDSA-Ayala footbridge.
