Audiophile Components, Inc., the country’s largest distributor of audio and music equipment, has launched an ambitious personalization initiative for its Shure microphone line. Branded “Make It Yours,” the program invites customers to transform two of the world’s most celebrated stage microphones into one-of-a-kind pieces.
Beginning this September, buyers of Shure’s SM58-LC and Beta 58A-X wired models, as well as the SLXD24A/SM58 and SLXD24Z/B58 wireless systems, may have their microphones engraved with up to two initials or six characters. The etching—offered in Crystal Clear or Black Stone—adds a discreet but distinctive signature to each unit.

The promotion—available in all Audiophile stores nationwide—also includes a premium leather pouch and an oversized clip, underscoring Audiophile’s attempt to pair utilitarian reliability with a touch of luxury. Custom orders require roughly two-and-a-half to three weeks for completion; customers assume shipping costs.
By offering personalization on a product synonymous with live performance, Audiophile positions itself at the crossroads of craft, technology and self-expression—where even a workhorse microphone can become a statement piece.
