MONDO Ignites the Indie Scene with New Single “Fire Burns Brighter”

MONDO, a collective of seasoned indie musicians, is set to release their highly anticipated single, Fire Burns Brighter, a reimagined version of The Pin-Up Girls’ Can’t Stand Waiting Here. The launch event takes place on February 15, 2024, at the iconic Saguijo Café & Bar in Makati.

Led by Mondo Castro (The Pin-Up Girls) on vocals and guitar, MONDO features an all-star lineup from the local indie scene: Drei Paman (Gaia & Andrei) on lead guitar, Dax Balmeo (Paranoid City) on rhythm guitar, Gaia Royeca (Gaia & Andrei) on keyboards and backing vocals, Mico Marasigan (Jetcoaster) on drums, and Lui Rodriguez (Rubber Pool, Caren Tevanny, Peso Movement) on bass.

The event is backed by some of the biggest names in local music and media, including WhenInManila, Plus Media, JAM 88.3, Azrael’s Merryland Blog, Orange Magazine PH, The Lovelace Is In, The Daily Tribune, Business Mirror, Clavel Media, and PULP Magazine. Their support ensures an unforgettable night filled with music enthusiasts, indie scene loyalists, and new fans alike.
