PlayTime Honors Entertainment’s Best at the 38th PMPC Star Awards for Television

Julius Babao is recognized for his contribution in broadcast media and was awarded the Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement award.

PlayTime, one of the leading online entertainment platforms in the Philippines, is revolutionizing Filipino entertainment through its commitment and support for the country’s finest shows and stars – from big screen blockbusters to television favorites.

As a staunch advocate of the arts in Philippine media, PlayTime continues its partnership with the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) for 2025’s Star Awards for Television. Held last March 23, 2025 at the Dolphy Theatre in the ABS-CBN complex, the event marks 38th years of hailing television’s best and is a comeback from a two-year hiatus after the Covid-19 pandemic.

award.

PlayTime honored the bigwigs of the television industry in the following categories:

  • Best Primetime TV Series – “Batang Quiapo” (A2Z, TV5)
  • Best News Program – “Agenda” (Bilyonaryo News Channel)
  • Best Male TV Host – Vic Sotto (Eat Bulaga/TV5/RPTV)
  • Hall of Fame Award – “I-Witness” (GMA 7)
  • Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award – Julius Babao
  • Best Comedy Actor — Roderick Paulate for “Da Pers Family” (TV5)
  • Best Comedy Actress — Maricel Soriano for “3 in 1” (Net 25)
