Sharp Philippines, one of the trusted brands in home appliances, has successfully completed a significant phase of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aimed on contributing to the well-being of the communities and are committed to continue making a meaningful impact. This initiative has long been part of the company’s mission to not only provide quality products but also supporting local governments and Filipino families in times of need.
In line with this mission, on December 2024, Sharp Philippines has successfully completed its Corporate Social Responsibility Program of providing washing machines to communities across Metro Manila, marking a significant milestone as the company celebrates the production of its 11 millionth washing machine. Sharp provided 5 washers, 5 dryers, and 1 twin-tub washing machine to 17 areas in Metro Manila, with the units being turned over to local government offices. These appliances will be used in evacuation centers and community programs, providing a clean clothes for families during emergencies.
On October 1, 2024, Sharp Philippines has been officially awarded by the City Government of Malabon for providing assistance to the victims of the calamity brought by Typhoon Carina in July 2024. The recognition came during a special ceremony led by Malabon City Mayor, Jeannie Sandoval, who expressed her gratitude for Sharp’s commitment in providing assistance to the local community during times of crisis.
With the completion of this project phase in Luzon, Sharp Philippines is already planning to extend its support to the Visayas and Mindanao regions. This highlighted the efforts and dedication of Sharp not only to innovation but also to uplifting the lives of Filipino families and reaching more Filipino communities in need, particularly in areas that are often affected by natural disasters and other emergencies.
Sharp Philippines plans to continue its CSR activities in the coming months, with a focus on providing life-enhancing support to more areas in the country. Through these efforts, Sharp aims to strengthen its relationship with local communities while addressing some of their most pressing needs.
