Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service, announced the launch of a new series of K-Pop performance videos.

Set to bring users showcases of live vocals and choreography performances by K-Pop artists, the series was spearheaded to bring fans into the celebrations of the genre’s most highly anticipated comebacks and career-defining milestones. At the same time, this new series will also give artists a new platform to expand their creative expression and connect with listeners through fresh content.

These Spotify-produced K-Pop performance videos will add to the platform’s growing catalog of music videos and will be available to Premium users in 96 markets worldwide. With Spotify’s music video feature, listeners already have more ways to enjoy the music they love, with the option to seamlessly switch between streaming an audio track and watching its music video with the “Switch to video/ audio” toggle button. Users in South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand can also stay up to date with fresh releases from the series via the K-Pop ON! Hub.

“Performance videos have long been central to fan culture – transforming songs into dynamic artistic expressions that fuel conversation, shape style, and deepen artist-fan connections. In the exciting, visual world of K-Pop, they’re essential – offering fans the next best thing to live shows through striking displays of talent and charisma,” says Jungjoo Park, Head of Music at Spotify, Korea. “We’re excited to bring listeners this new series of K-Pop performance videos, and the initiative is truly another testament to how Spotify keeps getting better for fans of the genre,”

Spotify’s first K-Pop performance video features ENHYPEN

The series launches with ENHYPEN showcasing their incredibly smooth choreography for “Loose (Korean Ver.),” a track off their latest mini-album, DESIRE : UNLEASH. To watch the performance video, simply play the track on Spotify and hit the “Switch to video” toggle button while in the Now Playing view.

Offering a glimpse into what fans can expect from subsequent choreography showcases within the series, the clip delivers a cinematic, audiovisual treat that places the focus squarely on the charms of the dance performance. Set on a clean stage, the masterful use of camerawork and lighting empowers the performing artist to set the mood and convey their unique artistic vision for the featured track.

“We’re incredibly grateful for Spotify’s continued support over the years, and are especially thrilled to be working with them again to celebrate the release of DESIRE : UNLEASH,” said ENHYPEN. “It’s an honor to be the first artist featured in the Spotify’s new series of K-Pop performance videos, and we hope ENGENEs will show lots of love for our new album and performance of ‘Loose (Korean Ver.).’”

Listeners can stay tuned to the K-Pop ON! Hub or @SpotifyKpop on X for updates on the latest K-Pop performance videos by Spotify.

Spotify highlighting ENHYPEN with this new series! For fans who enjoy discovering fresh music and performances beyond the mainstream, there are platforms that showcase more underground or experimental artists. One I recently came across is TabooTube, which hosts short films, indie music videos, and unique performances that you won’t find on bigger streaming services. It’s a cool way to explore creative content from emerging artists and get a taste of unconventional styles. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into discovering new voices in music and visual arts https://thetabootube.com/.
