Ayala Malls Cinemas, which recently brought exclusively to Philippine cinemas Oscar winners “Anora,” “The Brutalist” and “A Real Pain,” brings to the big screen another new, exclusive and timely must-watch this season. “The Unbreakable Boy,” starring Zachary Levi (“Shazam!”), Meghann Fahy (“The White Lotus”) and Patricia Heaton (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), is based on the book “The Unbreakable Boy: A Father’s Fear, a Son’s Courage, and a Story of Unconditional Love,” which was in turn based on a true story. It opens exclusively in Ayala Malls Cinemas on March 26. Get your tickets now at sureseats.com.

When his parents, Scott (Levi) and Teresa (Fahy), learn that Austin (Jacob Laval) is both autistic and has brittle bone disease, they initially worry for their son’s future. But with Scott’s growing faith and Austin’s incredible spirit, they become “unbreakable,” finding joy, gratitude, and courage even in the most trying times – an extraordinary true story about a father and son learning together that every day can be the best day of your life! “The Unbreakable Boy” is directed by Jon Gunn, whose filmography includes beloved feel-good dramas, including faith-based films.

From the same studio that brought the best-selling book “Wonder” to the big screen, “The Unbreakable Boy” scored an A Cinemascore from audiences upon its release in the US in February. On Rotten Tomatoes, the audience approval rating is currently an impressive 96%.

RogerEbert.com gave “The Unbreakable Boy” 3 out of 4 stars, calling the movie “a very sincere and good-hearted adaptation” and praising the young Laval for being “excellent, and we can see how endearing and exhausting, but mostly endearing, Austin is.”

Film Focus Online described the movie as “well-acted with much emotion and heart at its core,” and said that “for a feel-good film with a positive message, it’s undeniably worth checking out.”

In their review, Fandomwire wrote that “The Unbreakable Boy” is “a great family film with a nice message. It’s wholesome.” And to end their review, they said, “It’s important, now more than ever, that charming films like this have a chance to thrive in the theatrical scene… ‘The Unbreakable Boy’ is one of those movies that has a kind outlook on everything.”

The Independent Critic was all praises, especially of director Gunn. “‘The Unbreakable Boy’ is yet another winner from Jon Gunn, easily one of the most authentic and gifted faith-based and faith-inspired filmmakers working today,” they said. “With this film, he captures a story worthy of being told and told well. Gunn delivers and my guess is that both faith-based and secular audiences will love it.”

Watch positive and inspiring stories of courage and faith at Ayala Malls Cinemas this season. Whether you prefer the traditional feel-good family drama that will occasionally make you cry, such as “The Unbreakable Boy,” or a historical drama thriller like “Bonhoeffer: Pastor. Spy. Assassin.,” Ayala Malls Cinemas has something for everyone.

With their many exclusive titles, Ayala Malls Cinemas has become the premiere destination for movie fans looking for films that are not easily available elsewhere. Aside from the films themselves, the movie-watching experience in Ayala Malls Cinemas is made unforgettable thanks to the features they offer: plush seating and generous legroom, cutting-edge laser projections for sharper images, and top-notch Dolby Sound and Dolby Atmos technologies to enhance audio depth. And for those looking for something to munch on while watching movies, The Movie Snackbar is loaded with movie-watching snack staples, such as popcorn, sandwiches and ice-cold beverages.
