Trailblazing hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group XG has announced their new release, XDM Unidentified Waves, arriving this Friday, 31 January.

Under the visionary direction of XGALX founder and Executive Producer JAKOPS (SIMON JUNHO PARK), XDM Unidentified Waves takes XG’s signature sound to uncharted territory. The project reimagines their music in genres like Jersey Club, Big Room, Future House, Trance, Piano House, and Hard Rock, offering a fresh and bold musical dimension.

Highlighting their signature “X” as the creative cornerstone, this release presents listeners with an extraordinary X-POP experience, blending reimagined sounds that transcend boundaries. XDM Unidentified Waves is a sonic journey into the unknown, aligning with XGALX’s ethos of “New Breed, Breaking Boundaries,” and their mission to break down barriers and create new cultural movements.

2024 was a landmark year for XG. Their second mini-album, AWE, debuted on the U.S. Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard Heatseekers Album chart. Their first world tour, XG 1st WORLD TOUR ‘The first HOWL’, covered 26 cities with 29 performances, captivating over 200,000 fans across Asia, North America, the UK, and Europe.

The momentum continues in 2025, with additional performances in Japan (Nagoya, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka), Australia (Sydney, Melbourne), and China (Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu). A South American tour is also in the works.

This April, XG will achieve another milestone as the only Japanese act confirmed to perform at the iconic Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2025, cementing their status as a global phenomenon.

Mark your calendars: XG’s groundbreaking project XDM Unidentified Waves will be available on all major digital platforms on 31 January.
