Hanabishi Appliances, through its Kapartner sa Kabuhayan advocacy, continues to champion sustainable livelihood for Filipino families as it once again partnered with K-COOP for Project Karinderya for the last quarter of 2025. The program supports small, community-based eateries while simultaneously addressing food security.
“More than an appliance brand, Hanabishi is a trusted partner of Filipino families. We are one with organizations like K-COOP in looking for ways to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to them, especially to the nanaypreneurs who need assistance in growing their karinderya business,” said Cherish Ong-Chua, VP for Finance and Marketing of Hanabishi Appliances.
Hanabishi began its partnership with K-COOP earlier in the year, providing Karinderya Starter Kits to beneficiaries last August. In the last quarter of the year, the brand helped out more people by providing Karinderya Starter Kits to 30 karinderya owners and helping feed 600 individuals in Rizal and Bulacan for 30 days.
The Hanabishi Karinderya Starter Kit
The Karinderya Starter Kits included a Hanabishi electric fan (HISF180C or HISF180), gas stove (GS4500) or oven toaster (HO10GX), rice cooker (HHRCFS 2.8L) or pressure cooker (HPC 10qt), water dispenser (HTTWD650 with free water) or hand mixer/blender (HHANDBL10-3in1), and either a coffee maker (HCM55SS) or airpot (HPOT399).
Supporting Sustainable Livelihoods
Project Karinderya provides assured income for one month to karinderya owners while also feeding community beneficiaries through a ₱60/day meal subsidy for 30 days, which are redeemable at the participating karinderyas. Its beneficiaries include vulnerable groups such as seniors, persons with disabilities, pregnant and lactating mothers, and low-income families.
The program provides training and capability-building, allowing participants to learn about food safety, nutrition, and customer service. Health cadets and monitoring teams ensure that they observe food quality, safety, and program compliance.
“At Hanabishi, we believe that sustainable progress is rooted in dignity. Through our Kapartner sa Kabuhayan advocacy, we express our commitment to supporting livelihood programs that enable people to thrive and build resilience so that they can shape their future with pride,” Ong-Chua said.
