Giving to Gain. 75-strong Mondelēz International colleagues took part in the FCC Women’s Run in solidarity with the global International Women’s Day movement toward gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Mondelēz International in the Philippines once again showed its support for women empowerment and gender equality by participating in Filipina CEO Circle’s (FCC) Women’s Run PH for the third consecutive year. In celebration of Women’s Month, 75 employees — both women and men — laced up and took part in the run, reinforcing the company’s belief that advancing gender equality requires collective action.

This year’s Women’s Month celebration adopts the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” part of the Philippine Commission on Women’s ongoing campaign. The theme highlights that investing time, resources, and support in advancing women benefits everyone. It encourages generosity, collaboration, and shared responsibility in building a society where women have greater access to opportunities and leadership, reflecting the spirit of #GiveToGain, the message behind this year’s International Women’s Day.

At Mondelēz International, this mindset is reflected not only through participation in initiatives like Women’s Run PH, but also through the company’s continued focus on inclusive leadership. Today, 66.7% of the company’s top leadership team in the Philippines is comprised of women, helping ensure diverse perspectives and stronger decision-making across the organization.

Leading the business is Aleli Arcilla, the company’s first female Managing Director in the Philippines and a recognized advocate for women’s leadership in the corporate sector. “Progress happens when people actively support one another’s growth,” said Arcilla. “The theme #GiveToGain reminds us that investing in women through mentorship, opportunity, and support creates stronger teams, stronger communities, and a stronger future for everyone.”

Within the workplace, Mondelēz International continues to strengthen programs that help women succeed at every stage of their careers. Flexible work arrangements support employees balancing professional and family responsibilities, while leadership development and mentoring programs equip women with the tools to grow into larger roles. Wellness initiatives, including women’s health programs and lactation support for new mothers, further reinforce a culture where employees can thrive both personally and professionally.

The company’s commitment also extends beyond the workplace through initiatives that empower women in communities. Programs such as Aling Tindera, which enables women micro-entrepreneurs to earn income through plastic waste recovery, demonstrate how sustainability and economic opportunity can work hand in hand.

Arcilla emphasized that empowering women inside and outside the organization go hand in hand. “Whether it’s supporting women in our workplace or helping women entrepreneurs in our communities, the principle is the same,” she said. “When women are given the tools to succeed, they don’t just uplift themselves, they uplift the people around them. Everyone gains.”

By joining Women’s Run PH once again this year, Mondelēz International colleagues ran not only for fitness, but for a shared purpose: advancing gender equality through action, support, and solidarity.

Through initiatives that champion women in leadership, foster inclusive workplaces, and uplift communities, Mondelēz International continues to contribute to a future where giving support to women’s advancement leads to progress for all.
