World Pizza Day calls for a slice at Sicilian Roast

World Pizza Day on January 17 gives diners a reason to do pizza properly, and Sicilian Roast is leaning into it. The restaurant is welcoming guests for dine-in and takeaway, serving its brick-oven pizzas designed for sharing, alongside its Italian favorites.

A decade in, and with its Molito branch now part of the lineup, Sicilian Roast continues to spotlight the pizzas that helped build its name. Alongside pastas and steaks, the restaurant’s brick oven pizzas remain a main draw, offering flavors that range from clean classics to richer, more indulgent combinations, all made for sharing.

Executive chef Matthew Navarro said World Pizza Day is a good reminder of what people look for when they want a solid order. “When pizza is done right, it feels easy to eat. You lift it, it holds, and the flavors make sense together,” he said. “That’s when you finish one and still want another.”

To deliver that kind of slice, Sicilian Roast uses a hybrid Neapolitan New York style and a brick oven approach that prioritizes heat and timing. The pizzas come out with crisp edges, a light chew, and charred bubbles that signal proper temperature control, giving diners a crust that stays structured for sharing without feeling too heavy.

Pizza picks for World Pizza Day

For World Pizza Day, executive chef Matthew Navarro’s top picks from Sicilian Roast’s pizza lineup covers classic, rich, and fresh flavors, plus a house specialty for diners who want something bolder.

Margherita

Diners keeping it classic may opt for the Margherita, a straightforward mix of marinara, basil, mozzarella and parmesan, finished in a brick oven for a clean, balanced bite.

Truffle Prosciutto

For those who want something richer and more aromatic, Truffle Prosciutto layers truffle cream, prosciutto and mushrooms with mozzarella and parmesan, keeping the slice indulgent without turning heavy.

Arugula Prosciutto

Those who prefer a fresher bite may go for Arugula Prosciutto, topped with arugula and prosciutto, where peppery greens cut through the richness while the crust stays structured under the toppings.

The Mateo

For a bolder choice, The Mateo is an all-meat pizza named after Navarro, topped with mozzarella and house sauce, and made to stay satisfying and shareable from first slice to last.

Navarro added that pizza remains one of the most familiar and shareable meals, which is why the occasion resonates with many diners. “Pizza belongs to everyone. It can be simple or indulgent, but it should always feel satisfying,” he said.

Sicilian Roast invites diners to drop by, share a few slices, and sample a mix of classic and bolder flavors that highlight its hybrid Neapolitan New York style pizzas.

To reserve a table for World Pizza Day, diners may message @sicilianroast on Instagram.

Walk-ins are also welcome across Sicilian Roast branches in Makati, Quezon City at The Arton Strip, San Juan at Santolan Town Plaza, and Molito in Alabang.

Thanks for revealing your ideas. The first thing is that students have a solution between federal government student loan and a private student loan where it’s easier to go with student loan debt consolidation than through the federal education loan. slot 88
