Southern California based rockers Firing All Cylinders have independently released a music video for their cover of Haddaway‘s 1992 classic ‘What Is Love‘.
Whether you’re a fan of the Gen X original or the stadium rock-inspired sounds of Slipknot, this rendition is a must-see!
Firing All Cylinders‘ occult vision was pulled straight out of haunted houses and looks like a scene from the Saw franchise. Gritty vocals, powerful guitar licks, and dousing the band with gallons of blood breath new life into this synth-heavy pop anthem.
“What Is Love is my favorite pop song from the 90. I just loved the groove and feel of the song and I always thought it would make a killer rock ballad. We started out just joking about the concept but Brandon and Jeremy from Wolfe Studios thought it was a good idea to pursue. A few recording sessions later we had something we’re completely stoked about,” vocalist Rix Boker said.
Firing All Cylinders represent the explosive sound, excitement, and intensity of heavy metal with influences from the past and present. The group incorporates classic rock n’ roll sound inspired by bands like AC/DC and Black Sabbath. Add a dash of modern metal bands such as KoRn, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down, and Slipknot to build the band’s iconic sound.
In a short period of time, Firing All Cylinders has rapidly gained success with unique aggressive sounds and performances which became trademark qualities of the group.
