It’s officially the summer season. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) declared last March 16 as the start of the dry season.

Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the Philippines—is encouraging the public to keep their selves hydrated to especially when going out or even while at home, as the heat index may reach 38 to 41 degrees during this season.

“We need to hydrate during extreme heat, even if we are staying indoor. It is important for our bodies to remain cool to avoid heat exhaustion and keep our focus and productivity at 100%,” said PCPPI President and Chief Executive Officer, Frederick D. Ong.

PCPPI is the manufacturer of Premier purified water. Premier is a product that boasts of quality, passing high standards and elaborate process to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

Doctors recommend making it a habit to regularly monitor one’s body this summer, especially for those who spend most of their time outdoors or even those who work long hours. The Department of Health even advises Filipinos to “drink plenty of water” to avoid heatstroke.

Ong agrees, “Drinking water at least 6 to 8 glasses a day is still one of the best ways to keep yourself hydrated. Even if we work long hours, we must remember to drink water to keep our mind and body working well,” he said.

Premier purified water is available in sari-sari stores and local community outlets nationwide.

PCPPI is the exclusive manufacturer of well-known beverage brands in the Philippines: Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, 7-Up, Mirinda, Mug, Gatorade, Tropicana, Lipton, Sting, Premier, Milkis, and Aquafina.
