Ocean Park Hong Kong, one of the world’s beloved theme parks and Hong Kong People’s Park, will delight visitors this Yuletide season with Christmas Sensation — a celebration event featuring spectacular attractions and experiences that combine education, entertainment, and conservation – like never before!

“At this year’s Christmas Sensation Santa Festival, you will be immersed in the spirit of Christmas at over 80 attractions. It will be Christmas with a blast at Polar Adventure, a nostalgic Christmas journey through time at Old Hong Kong, and fruitful epiphanies about biodiversity at all the state-of-the-art animal exhibits. Throughout the winter holidays, visitors can enjoy musical performances under a giant 40-foot Christmas tree and enjoy hi-tech, interactive games at the Rise of the Guardian (DreamWorks’ holiday blockbuster) walkthrough. Authentic Santa’s from Finland, Holland, and the United States will also spread cheer and take photos with all guests. Don’t forget to also check out the many delectable international Christmas treats, as well as one of a kind seasonal souvenirs all around the Park!” added Tom Mehrmann.
The “Christmas Sensation – Santa Festival” event held at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Hotel Manila was hosted by the wacky Rovilson Fernandez and DJ Andi Manzano. A lot of games and prizes were given away including a two (2) complimentary passes to Ocean Park Hong Kong valid for one year.

Polar Adventure, the Park’s latest attraction, bringing the North and South Poles to Asia with exciting bobsled rides and close encounters with King, Gentoo, and Rock Hopper Penguins, Snowy Owls, long-tusked Pacific walruses and other Arctic animals. Visitors can chill at the Tuxedos Restaurant, which offers a low carbon menu and a wide view of penguins frolicking in their snow covered habitat.
Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures features two female golden monkeys, Le Le and Hu Hu. They are the new neighbors of Giant pandas An An and Jia Jia. Jia Jia is today the oldest Giant panda under human care in the world. Come visit these animal ambassadors with your families and be inspired by their important messages of conservation.
Old Hong Kong takes visitors on a nostalgic tour of Hong Kong in the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. Relive Hong Kong’s unique culture in the recreated streets and scenes, which showcase the rich culture of Hong Kong, Asia’s world city. Those keen to take home a memento of the yesteryears can also shop for souvenirs that bring back the past.
Thrill Mountain lives up to its name with extreme attractions such as Hair Raiser, a floorless roller coaster; The Flash, where visitors actually hang upside down while swinging on its pendulum arm; The Aviator, which lets guests enjoy a taste of flight; and the classic carnival thrill ride Bumper Blasters, a traditional bumper car ride for families of all ages. .
Aqua City features a breakthrough underwater experience, “Symbio!”, a multi-sensory show, presents the world’s first 360-degree water screen with dynamic projections. The Grand Aquarium overwhelms viewers with 5,000 fish from over 400 species and other aquatic wonders, seen through a large acrylic dome (at a diameter of 5.5 meters), and an enormous 8×13-meter viewing panel. Completing the underwater adventure is Neptune’s Restaurant, Hong Kong’s first aquarium restaurant that can whip up a ‘Noche Buena’ feast unlike any other.
The Rainforest is where visitors can be one with nature. Home to some of the rarest animals in the world, the Expedition Trail boasts of some of the best flora and fauna in the planet. Accompanying guests on their immersive exploration of biodiversity are dozens of avian, terrestrial and aquatic animals living inside buttress tree roots. Guests can also take an interactive boat ride through The Rapids. Meet the world’s smallest monkey and the world’s largest rodent.

Ocean Park – Giving Back to the Community
As Hong Kong’s People’s Park, Ocean Park has launched different community initiatives to enable Hong Kong people from all walks of life to enjoy the Park’s offerings. These initiatives include 1) concessionary admission for Hong Kong residents on their birthdays, Hong Kong residents aged 65 years and above, and holders of Registration Card for People with Disabilities; and 2) sponsored admission to individuals and members of families receiving assistance from the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme (CSSA), and Social Welfare Department member organizations. The Park also gives donation-in-kind to charitable organizations, offers special rates for school tours, and spearheads many other community caring projects. During the fiscal year of 2010-2011, Ocean Park maintained a total of 13 social care programmes, with over 450,000 beneficiaries and an aggregate value to the community equivalent to HK$110,000,000.
