“Idol Philippines” season 1-second runner-up Lucas Garcia talks about finding that special someone at the wrong time in his self-penned single “Kapatawaran.”
“This song is about letting go of someone not because he or she did you wrong, but because you are simply not ready. It’s like having the right love at the wrong time. It is filled with sadness and sorrow,” he said.
Lucas poured his heart and emotions into writing “Kapatawaran” after going through a heartbreak.
“It tells the story of how my ex-partner and I broke up,” the singer-songwriter revealed.
He willingly shared his vulnerable side with the help of Star Pop label head Rox Santos who produced the heart-wrenching ballad track.
Lucas was part of the vocal trio “iDolls” along with former “Idol Philippines Season 1” contestants Matty Juniosa and Enzo Almario. The trio joined the third season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” where they placed fourth. As a solo artist, Lucas released several singles such as “Pinaasa,” “Tinatapos Ko Na,” and “San Na Ba.”
