Pilmico’s Tarlac and Iligan Feeds and Flour mills collectively achieve over 5 million safe man-hours.

Pilmico Foods Corporation (Pilmico) achieved over 5 million safe man-hours total across its feed mills. There have been 3 million safe man-hours without lost time incidents for its feed and flour mill facility in Iligan from July 2022 to March 2023, and 2 million safe man-hours in its Tarlac feed mill from November 2021 to 2023.

“In Pilmico, we prioritize the welfare of all our employees and the safety of our facilities. Most importantly, we ensure that we abide by the high safety standards set by the company and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE),” said Pilmico Vice President for Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, and Process Ma. Cleofe Flores.

To promote safety in the workplace, the feed mills conduct regular safety awareness training, site inspections, hazard and risk identification, and toolbox meetings. Pilmico also ensures that all team members, including visitors and clients, follow strict safety protocols and biosecurity measures in place. On average per month, Pilmico’s facilities in Tarlac and Iligan house nearly 2,200 team members, both organic and subcontractors.

“This achievement is proof of our commitment to upholding safety in the workplace with the values of responsibility and teamwork as our guiding principles. We want to continue serving our customers with high-quality products and services for the years to come,” said Pilmico Agribusiness Philippines Country Director Norie Bermudez.

Pilmico’s plant facility in Iligan, Lanao del Norte, caters to its Feeds and Flour divisions, servicing farmers and bakers nationwide. Meanwhile, its feed mill located in Capas, Tarlac, produces a wide range of feed products, from rabbits to wine, poultry, quails, and more. The Tarlac feed mill has been fully solar-powered since August 2019, having 1,000 MT of CO2 avoidance, equivalent to planting 1,370 trees.
