Gearing up for another era, multi-platinum pop-rock band LANY returns with a brand new single and music video entitled “Love At First Fight.” It paves the way for their anxiously awaited fifth full-length offering, I Really Really Hope So, out September 29th. The band also announced today their “First The Moon, Then The Stars: A Tour Before A World Tour” Asia tour which will kick off August 10th in Hong Kong. LANY will then embark on the first leg of their “The I Really Really Hope So World Tour” which will canvas Europe and the UK on October 29th.
“Love At First Fight” reflects the band’s penchant for unpredictable sonic architecture. Acoustic strumming gives way to an energetic electric guitar gallop crashing right into a chantable chorus, “It was sparks at first sight, but it was love at first fight.” The accompanying music video brings the track to life on-screen with fast-paced editing and action.
About the track, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, writer, and producer Paul Jason Klein shared, “In a relationship, you learn a lot about a person from the first argument. It’s an indicator of the relationship’s trajectory and whether it’s going to work out or not.”
However, it just sets the stage for I Really Really Hope So. Once again, the band joined forces with producer Mike Crossey [Arctic Monkeys, Twenty One Pilots] with whom they collaborated on 2018’s fan-favorite Malibu Nights. Recording in between tours, they infused this body of work with a rush of live energy and channeled inspirations such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Sting, and The Killers.
Beginning August 10th in Hong Kong, the band will embark on their “First The Moon, Then The Stars: A Tour Before A World Tour” which will canvas Asia and include headlining festival stops at Bangkok Sonic Bang Festival, Osaka Summer Sonic Festival, and Tokyo Summer Sonic Festival.
