Today, multi-platinum pop rock band LANY has shared a new single entitled “XXL.” It serves as the latest release from their forthcoming album, I Really Really Hope So, arriving on September 29th.
“XXL” stood out as the first song actually written for I Really Really Hope So, paving the way for this vision to sonically come to life in technicolor. Now, the track channels live energy as a skyscraping chorus takes flight, uplifted even higher by a hummable guitar solo. It feels tailormade for the stage.
It also follows the recent fan favorite “Alonica.” It has already gathered 1.7 million Spotify streams and counting. Earning critical acclaim, Variance praised it as “emotional, much more confessional.”
They initially set the stage for the album with “Love At First Fight.” The music video now has over 1.2M YouTube views and the song itself has over 6 million streams on Spotify alone. Earning critical acclaim, People spoke to Paul in-depth about the song and exclaimed, “The band’s latest single, ‘Love at First Fight,’ covers the insecurities that plague a new relationship when things go wrong for the first time.” Variance hailed it as “infectious,” and UPROXX noted, “LANY’s unbreakable relationship with their fans is based upon their fearless, well-rounded approach to love songs.”
Additionally, the band released “Love At First Fight (Hopeless),” a stripped-down version of their first release from I Really Really Hope So.
Earlier this week on Tuesday, August 1st, LANY played a show at The Bellwether.
