j-hope of 21st-century pop icons BTS released Jack In The Box (HOPE Edition) worldwide. The newly released album is a new edition of his first solo album Jack In The Box, released on July 15, 2022, meant to be a special gift for fans, ARMY. In the hopes of allowing more fans to enjoy the album in various forms, j-hope wholeheartedly dedicated himself to working on the physical album Jack In The Box (HOPE Edition) ahead of his military enlistment. As with the critically acclaimed original album, the artist participated in the overall composition and arrangement of Jack In The Box (HOPE Edition), infusing his individuality and distinctive artistic color.
With his headlining set at 2022 Lollapalooza, j-hope had made history as the first Korean artist to headline a major U.S. music festival. Jack In The Box (HOPE Edition) features a total of fifteen tracks including the ten original tracks from Jack In The Box (2022) with the addition of three live performance recordings of tracks showcased at Lollapalooza and two instrumental tracks. The physical album also comes with a variety of new concept photos and components for fans to enjoy. Much like the album’s title, which refers to a toy box where a figure pops out when one opens the box, the album shows j-hope’s aspiration to show a new and mature side of himself.
