‘CIA with BA’ highlights forgiveness, love, and hope within families, relationships in ‘Producer’s Cut’

“Not everyone can be famous but everyone can be great because greatness is determined by service.”

Quoting the American minister and activist Martin Luther King Jr., this was how award-winning television host Boy Abunda closed the special episode of public service program ‘CIA with BA’ on Sunday, November 5, as it aired a Producer’s Cut.

The show highlighted how forgiveness, love, and hope reigned among families and friends whose cases were taken on by sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano, together with Abunda, in the past season.

These cases include a mother who complained about her son-in-law for being irresponsible and causing an accident on one of her grandchildren; a man who complained about his brother for taking their father’s land; and a landlord who wanted to eject her tenant – a friend of hers – due to incapacity to pay since the pandemic.

For the viewers’ full understanding of their respective situations, ‘CIA with BA’ also aired never-before-seen footage, including how the program helped these people resolve the issues and to move forward with their lives.

“Ang mga natutunan natin… ay pagpapatawad.. pagmamahal. Pinairal nila ang pagmamahalan,” Abunda said of the first case.

“Ang pangalawang kwento naman… pinahalagahan nila ang pamilya, pati na rin ang respeto at pagmamahal,” he continued.

“Ang pangatlong kwento ay tungkol sa pag-asa dahil sa pagkakataon na ibinigay sa kanila at niyakap nila para makapagsimula muli,” he concluded.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program ‘Compañero y Compañera,’ which aired from 1997 to 2001.

Don’t miss ‘CIA with BA’ with Alan, Pia, and Boy every Sunday, 11:30 p.m. on GMA7.
