2024 WSC 1 officially crown winners

The champions of this year’s first edition of the World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby were recognized in an intimate awarding ceremony at the Novotel Manila Araneta City on February 8.

Six top entries–Fiscalizer Sky March 8 Coliseum De Manila (Fiscal Villanueva and Bogs), Goldquest Hagibis LDI (Osang Dela Cruz), Chicken Joy GF (John Gutierrez), For The Love Of The Game (Joe Paneda/Ron Aguado), FBG Luba (Franny/Joy Brillantes/Jonel Daquiz from Abra), and Thunderbird III (Nene Araneta)–shared the coveted WSC title after scoring 8-1 win-loss record at the end of this year’s prestigious derby.

Each winner received a highly coveted trophy, meaning 6 trophies were given away to the winners.

The first edition of the Olympics of Cockfighting, held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on January 29 to February 4, witnessed exciting matches from 248 entries.

The derby’s second leg was scheduled from May 22 to May 28.
