Organizers and Partners join forces for Happy Walk

Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. participated in the Happy Walk organized by the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, Inc. (DSAPI) to commemorate World Down Syndrome Day on March 21. The event, themed “Natatanging Nilalang: 3, 2, 1, and Beyond,” aims to celebrate the achievements and promote the well-being and inclusivity of individuals with Down Syndrome while raising awareness and mobilizing support for their cause.

A heartfelt moment during Happy Walk

Canon Marketing Philippines demonstrated their unwavering support as Canon executives, along with employees and their families and friends, enthusiastically joined the program and the parade, adding a vibrant energy to the event from the SMX Convention Center to the SM Mall of Asia.

Families of people with Down Syndrome won Canon PIXMA printers during the Happy Walk raffle

The event witnessed the collective efforts of over four thousand participants, including families and friends of people with Down syndrome, coming together to advocate for inclusivity and spread joy. As part of its contribution, Canon Marketing Philippines also donated PIXMA printers as prizes, extending support to families and individuals associated with DSAPI.

“We are thankful for the support from our generous corporate partners. With the help from CMP through the years, DSAPI is enabled to promote much-needed understanding and acceptance that makes the difference in helping children with Down syndrome and their families live more normal lives,” says DSAPI Chairman Elmer Lapena.

Noting the significance of recognizing the abilities and promoting the well-being of people with Down syndrome, Canon Marketing Philippines President and CEO Anuj Aggarwal said, “At Canon, we believe in embracing diversity and celebrating the unique talents and achievements of every individual. It is important for everyone to foster support for the well-being of people with Down syndrome and their families. It is crucial for society to understand and promote their rights and opportunities, ensuring a more inclusive and compassionate community.”

Canon Marketing Philippines came out in full force for Happy Walk

Since its start in 2003, the Happy Walk organized by DSAPI has been a beacon of joy, awareness, and inclusivity, making a positive impact on individuals with Down syndrome and their families across the country.
