Immerse yourself in a culinary odyssey like no other as the Department of Tourism (DOT) proudly presents the Philippine Eatsperience. Set amidst the historical landmarks of Manila—Intramuros and Rizal Park at Luneta—this gastronomic spectacle celebrates the diverse culinary heritage of the Philippines.
A Culinary Celebration
More than just a food fair, the Philippine Eatsperience is a tribute to Filipino culture and tradition. With the theme “Filipino Fiesta,” the event showcases the vibrant tapestry of Filipino cuisine: a symphony of flavors, colors, and aromas that reflect the unique Filipino way of celebrating. From savory classics to delectable sweets, each dish narrates a tale of heritage and pride.
In line with this year’s theme for Filipino Food Month, “Kalutong Filipino, Lakas ng Kabataang Makabago” (“Empowering the Youth for Promoting Philippine Culinary Heritage and Gastronomy”), the Philippine Eatsperience serves as a platform for preserving and promoting the rich culinary traditions of the Philippines.
Aligned with the DOT’s flagship project, the Philippine Experience Program (PEP), the Philippine Eatsperience aims to highlight and promote the Filipino brand and identity in all aspects of travel and tourism. Centered on the theme of Hain/Salo-Salo or Filipino Food and Gastronomy Tourism, the event seeks to foster a deeper appreciation for Filipino culture, establish premier destinations, raise awareness about Filipino cuisine and celebrations, and provide a platform for local food stakeholders to showcase their products.
Hop-On-Hop-Off Adventure
As a highlight of the Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tour, the Philippine Eatsperience invites travelers to embark on a culinary journey through the heart of Manila’s historic landmarks. The venue at Intramuros is located at Baluarte Plano Luneta de Sta. Isabel, Intramuros Manila, operating from Monday to Sunday, while the venue in Rizal Park Luneta will take place at the iconic Noli Me Tangere Garden in Rizal Park, which is open from Friday to Sunday. Through these vibrant settings, visitors can relish the flavors of Filipino delicacies while immersing themselves in the city’s rich cultural and historical tapestry.
Celebrating Heritage, Building Community
The Philippine Eatsperience aims to elevate and spotlight the culinary heritage of the Philippines while fostering community development. With fifty-five participating merchants, including thirty from the Intramuros Administration (IA) and twenty-five from the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), the event promises to be a vibrant amalgamation of cultural diversity, culinary delights, and proactive community engagement.
This event is open to the public. Join us as we embark on a culinary expedition to savor the essence of tradition and celebrate the flavors that define Filipino cuisine.
