QBE Group Chief Executive Officer Andrew Horton (center) and other members of the QBE Global Executive Committee and Global Shared Services Center visited the Zapatera Elementary School for the inauguration of the school’s feeding room. As QBE’s second adopted school in Cebu, Zapatera Elementary School was assisted by the company in the construction of its feeding room. It also received an additional PhP2.5 million donation for the construction of its innovation room, purchase of school supplies, and daily feeding program for undernourished students. The school is home to 2,804 students and 86 teaching staff.
QBE’s adopt a school program is done in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress. Aside from Zapatero Elementary School, QBE has adopted and been supporting R.P. Cruz Senior Elementary School in Manila and Bagong Lipunan Elementary School in Cebu. QBE is a global insurance firm headquartered in Sydney with global shared services centers operating from Manila and Cebu.
