New Bold University (NBU), the locally inspired version of Silicon Valley-based Singularity University, is gearing up to host its immersive learning experience, to shape the next generation of purposeful leaders and entrepreneurs. The three-day event will take place from August 29-31, 2024, at the Ignacio B. Gimenez KAL Theatre, University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City.
Designed to equip emerging leaders with the necessary tools to succeed in a rapidly changing world, Ralph Layco, Founder of NBU, emphasizes the significance of this gathering, “In a world where change is the only constant, inviting speakers who have risen from grassroots levels offers invaluable insights into resilience and innovation. NBU 2024 is designed to equip the next generation of leaders with the mindset and tools necessary to thrive.”
With the theme, “The Gathering of the Next Exponential Purposeful Leaders & Entrepreneurs,” the event will bring together over 400 participants and feature more than 20 industry leaders and experts. These speakers will address topics such as entrepreneurship, e-commerce, freelancing, artificial intelligence, health, and longevity.
Grassroots Success
The year’s biggest flagship event will feature successful individuals who began their careers from grassroots, offering a fresh perspective distinct from the typical mainstream set of speakers.
Among the speakers is Darwin Balaswit, who transitioned from mechanical engineering to copywriting, helping e-commerce clients achieve significant revenue through innovative marketing strategies. Chai Jumilla, a known TikTok seller in the Philippines, empowers women through her entrepreneurial journey in skincare.
Meanwhile, Raven Duran, who brings over a decade of experience working on tech products for organizations such as the World Health Organization and Microsoft. He co-owns several traditional businesses powered by technology. Sam Karazi, CEO of Bebang Halo-Halo, who has utilized digital strategies to help businesses from zero to multimillion-dollar revenues.
NBU 2024 will also feature other keynote addresses and interactive sessions with influential figures like Sarah Maluyo, the founder of the Philippines’ first Facebook Ads Mastermind group, and Steve Sy, CEO of Great Deals E-Commerce Corporation. Don Soriano, founder of KaNegosyo Community, and John Pagulayan, founder of the Freelance Movement, will also share their insights.
Additional speakers include Ginelle Sequitin, a content creator with a background in finance, and Russ Joson, a leading life coach in the Philippines.
