Following “SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT” that was released in July, XG has officially unveiled “IYKYK”, another cut from their upcoming second mini album, AWE, available now on all music streaming platforms.

“IYKYK” encapsulates the seven-member girl group’s bold quest to keep pushing boundaries and exploring uncharted territories. With a theme inspired by “XG exploring the universe”, the song invites listeners to join them on a journey through a new, limitless dimension at lightspeed! The track blends a rhythmic 2-Step beat with a sample from m-flo’s 2001 hit “prism”, evoking a sense of floating through space and amplifying the excitement of an adventure in exploration.

The chorus – featuring the phrase “If You Know, You Know” – symbolises an invitation for those in the know to embrace this adventurous spirit and join in on XG’s extraordinary journey.
The music video for “IYKYK” offers a fresh perspective from XG’s previous videos, showcasing the world through their eyes. It explores the question, “How does the world look to them? Is it mysterious and otherworldly?” The concept centers around a “Mutated Sense”, where each XG member’s unique sensory distortion allows them to see the true light (a planet). The video artfully portrays these sensory shifts, capturing XG’s signature mystique. We invite you to step into XG’s dreamscape and experience it firsthand.

The mini album AWE, due November 8th, reflects the psychological process of awe that people feel when encountering something completely new. It explores a mix of fear and curiosity as people come to embrace and understand this new presence, with XG’s music aiming to evoke that sensation and resonate deeply with listeners in their everyday lives.

Fans can expect AWE to be available in several versions:

  • XG Version: Symbolic storytelling of XG’s unique worldview
  • ALPHAZ Version: Special package for the official fan club, ALPHAZ
  • Solo Versions: With individual members on the covers, showcasing their personalities
  • Regular Version: Embodying the entire group’s overall identity

Following the success of previous releases, a Vinyl Version will also be made available, with pre-orders already open on the US store.

In addition to the buzz around “IYKYK,” XG recently made headlines with the release of WOKE UP REMIXX (PROD BY JAKOPS), released on September 20th. This remix featured notable Japanese and Korean hip-hop artists like Jay Park, OZworld, AKLO, Paloalto, VERBAL (m-flo), Awich, Tak, and Dok2. Members JURIN, HARVEY, MAYA, and COCONA also made a surprise appearance during Awich’s performance at THE HOPE, Japan’s largest hip-hop festival, delivering an electrifying stage collaboration that had garnered attention and praise.

XG is currently in the midst of their first world tour, “The first HOWL”! The North America leg kicked off in Las Vegas on October 4th and will cover eight cities, followed by performances in seven cities across the UK and Europe starting in Manchester on November 18th. In 2025, XG will also bring the tour to four cities in Japan (Nagoya, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Osaka).
