SM Mall of Asia (MOA) once again became a powerful symbol of hope, movement, and collective action as 13,500 runners laced up to celebrate Earth Day 2025 through the Galaxy Earth Day Run Manila Leg. More than just a simple race, the event was a bold statement: when we run together, we move closer to a sustainable future.

For the second year in a row, Samsung powered this meaningful initiative, driving a message of sustainability, innovation, and meaningful movement. The Earth Day Run featured 5K, 10K, and 21K categories, offering participants from all walks of life a chance to turn their passion for running into impactful action for the planet.

Held at the iconic SM Mall of Asia Complex, the run was more than just a physical feat—it was a movement in partnership with Tzu Chi Philippines, a global humanitarian organization known for championing environmental protection through recycling and upcycling. Together, SM Supermalls, Samsung, and Tzu Chi Philippines inspired thousands to “Run With Purpose,” reminding everyone that small strides today can lead to big victories for Mother Earth.

“Earth Day fuels a movement, and seeing 13,500 champions run at the SM Mall of Asia Complex underscores our commitment. We empower Filipinos to champion sustainability through every step, big or small, building a greener future together,” said Joaquin San Agustin, SM Supermalls Executive Vice President for Marketing.

The day also celebrated athletic excellence, with top finishers recognized across categories:

  • 5KM Fastest Female: Franxine Louisse Regalado
  • 5KM Fastest Male: Mark Angelo Biagtan
  • 10KM Fastest Female: Kim Mangrobang
  • 10KM Fastest Male: Karl Oxales
  • 21KM Fastest Female: Maricar Camacho
