The performing arts have long played a vital role in shaping well-rounded Filipino students, offering not just enrichment but integral formation rooted in the liberal arts. At the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), this commitment is deeply embedded in its educational philosophy and is vividly expressed through its support for cultural expression and artistic excellence.
A key venue in this effort is the Celestino M. Dizon Auditorium. It has become one of the cornerstones of artistic expression and a sanctuary where creativity and culture thrive. For decades, it hosted countless plays, concerts, art and choral workshops, exhibits, and the like. However, time has taken its toll, and major renovation and upgrading works are now necessary.

In response, UA&P, in partnership with Phildizon Studios and Galerie Joaquin, proudly presents “Giving heART: Restoring the Legacy, Transforming the Future”—an art-driven fundraising initiative that seeks to support the restoration and upgrading of the Dizon Auditorium. More than a campaign, Giving heART is a collective effort to preserve this cultural landmark, ensuring it continues to inspire future generations. It recognizes the indispensable value of the arts in education and in taking part in preserving the spaces that allow them to thrive.
The initiative will include a digital catalog selling from June to August 2025. Patrons can support the cause by purchasing curated artworks and photographs from acclaimed and emerging artists.
On August 12, 2025 (Tuesday) at 4:00 PM, the campaign will culminate in an exclusive on-site exhibit at the Dizon Auditorium in UA&P Ortigas Campus. Guests will have the opportunity to view a curated collection of artworks and limited-edition photographs, with proceeds going directly toward the venue’s renovation. Through Giving heART, art becomes a medium not just of expression, but of advocacy, generosity, and hope.
